sayFUSE Backup provides data backup, recovery, media management and offsite storage as an integrated backup and recovery platform. The aim is not merely to create a backup, but to ensure that data and systems can be reliably restored – even after technical failures, operator errors or cyberattacks.
Multi-stage backup concept
The multi-stage backup concept starts with backing up data to central backup/dedup storage. Backup versions are then automatically migrated to separate backup media within the appliance. Daily, weekly and monthly backups can be built up as complete backup generations and made available for physical offsite storage.
Air gap and physical separation
A key architectural principle is the separation of backup layers. Once a job is complete, backup media can be powered off or removed from the production environment and kept at a protected location or in a separate fire compartment. This creates an additional layer of protection against tampering, malware and the simultaneous loss of production and backup data.
